Earlier today a TEAMs meeting was held including surgeons from the Spinal Group at the Hamilton General Hospital: Dr. Zarrabian, the Head of the Spinal Group, and Dr. Pahuta, Dr. Cenic, et al. Mr. Nick Kutyluk and Mr. Zahir Ratanshi, Chairman and CEO of Cosality Inc. and Dr. Kwiecien also participated. Dr. Kwiecien presented the pathogenesis of the disease initiated by the spinal cord injury (SCI) in the rat model and in human patients and the results of the effective treatment with hop xanthohumol. A following brief discussion on a Clinical Study at the Hamilton General Hospital involving acute SCI patients treated with hop xanthohumol indicates interest among the Spinal Surgeons in such a Clinical Study. We have already started working on it. The Clinical Study will address not only improved outcomes of a terrible disease in individual patients after treatment with hop xanthohumol but also very significant economic savings potentially offered by this treatment.
